    Fitz G. Galenzoga

    Fitz Galenzoga BSN-RN, is a vocalist, musical theater performer and teacher. Having worked on over ten musicals, Fitz has had the pleasure of working with notable directors, Bret Aleonar, Jeo Librando, Sonny Alquizola, Benjie Diola, Emman Mante, Rudy Aviles, Orlan Magno, Ligaya Rabago, and the late Al Evangelio. The wisdom of these people in the field of musical theater and the performing arts allowed Fitz to improve his craft and inspired him to teach the next generation of potential artists. In the last few years, Fitz has coached vocalists for upcoming musicals, like Sister Act the Musical, produced in 2014. As a volunteer teacher, Fitz helps out with vocal performance for projects produced by the Young Thespians of Cebu of which he is a member. Through YTC, Fitz became the vocal director for a school play entitled "Joseph King of Dreams" that was staged in March, 2016.

    Fitz began singing alongside his mother during her band rehearsals when he was just four years old. In grade school and high school, Fitz joined the school choir. At university, Fitz received a scholarship grant from the Cebu Normal University Chorale. The choir was conducted by Professor Rene Frejoles from Silliman University, Fitz’ most influential music professor. It was Prof. Frejoles that helped Fitz realize his love for learning music and performing. The CNU Chorale helped Fitz finish his nursing degree and kept his passion for music alive. Fitz hopes to impart his vocal experience and musicianship upon his students, the future artists of the music community, because he is passionate about the support music education gave him.

  • Aya L. Lepalam

    Aya L. Lepalam is an award-winning vocalist and teacher in the Cebu City region. Aya has loved music ever since remembers and began singing at only three years old. While studying in high school, Aya truly found her voice sound through the techniques of her two most influential teachers. When Aya attended University of Cebu where she studied Hotel and Restaurant Management, but maintained her love for music while working as the Music Director in musical theater and teaching voice. Rewarding experiences like when Aya saw her students during their performance singing like angels and smiling down at her solidified her decision to pursue more music teaching.

    Aya enjoys teaching classics, jazz, and pop styles. Currently she is the lead vocalist in the band Ice Wave, along with other members of Brown Academy of Music staff. Aya also works alongside Young Thespians Club, a musical theatre group, for their plays and musicals, when she is not working on her own music and songwriting.

    Aya’s greatest joy would be to see her students perform internationally and share what they learned with her to others.

  • Jonnie Sapii

    Jonnie S. Sapii is a first-rate educator and vocal coach hailing from Zamboanga. As a Secondary Education graduate of Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology in 2004, Jonnie has been teaching since graduation. In 2006, Jonnie became the voice coach of the College Performing Arts Group, CPAG, but left to pursue his performing career in Cebu.

    Jonnie was been awarded the Grand Winner of the Inter-BPO Singing Competition and second runner up for Sykes Idol in 2010. In 2011, Jonnie joined the Young Thespians Club and has stayed an active member. Having been awarded the YTC Artist of the Year, Jonnie has progressed to taking on a role as a vocal coach for YTC concerts, such as Myriad Voices 2014 and Vocal Hustle 2015. Jonnie has also performed as a part of benefit and outreach concerts such as Butterflies and Daisies for the Cebu Cultural Center, Bangon Sugbohol Benefit Concert, and The International Eucharistic Congress celebration with The Young Thespians of Cebu artists, 10G, and Unified Artists of Cebu. He has had the pleasure of performing alongside notable artists such as JM De Guzman, Paulette Cambronero, Carlos Agassi, and Neil Colleta.

    Regarding his teaching, Jonnie has worked doing numerous vocal summer workshops as well as private lessons with a range of ages. With an ear for harmonizing and proficiency on both guitar and keyboard, Jonnie aspires to “educate, inspire, learn, share and make a change to make the world a better place through music.”

    Oking G. Danong

    Oking G. Danong is an expert drummer and performance musician in Cebu. Oking has spent the last seven years teaching private and group drum classes. His philosophy is to teach students formally, but encourage them to self teach, which is an excellent way of learning one’s weaknesses. As a continuing student, Oking’s most rewarding music experiences are learning from other musicians from workshops. He was awarded the first runner up drum-o-meter champion by Michael Alba, the top session drummer in the country, at the Michael Alba Drum Project and Yosha Band workshops.  Oking is a graduate of The Michael Alba Drum Program.

    Oking has performed on stage with Paolo Valenciano (son of OPM icon Gary Valenciano) as well as Sheryn Regis. He also works alongside the Young Thespians Club for their musicals and is the drummer for the band Ice Wave.

    Monica Sylvia E. Orellano

    Monica Sylvia E. Orellano is an award-winning dance master who began performing at an early age while in elementary school.  Even as a young performer she began winning awards, which further developed her passion in dance and the performing arts.  It was through the guidance of her mother, Cinbeth Orellano, who is also founder of the Knapsack Dancers, that Monica started in the entertainment industry joining the group at the age of 13.  A woman of many talents, Monica is now the proprietor and choreographer for the Knapsack Dancers, as well as an on-air talent for the television show Kapamilya Mas Winner Ka on the ABS-CBN network, and is also an active graphic artist, photographer, and painter.

    Monica has performed onstage with such artists as Gary Valenciano, Billy Crawford, Vhong Navarro, Maja Salvador, and many others.  Dancing has allowed her to perform and travel to Malaysia, Singapore, China, and South Korea, most recently at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games and Paralympics of Cultural Art Festival in Gangwon, South Korean.  As dance master and choreography, Monica has designed the curriculum for all of the dance classes offered at Brown Academy of Music.
