  • Music Lessons and Classes

  • The courses offered at Brown Academy of Music are applicable for single, four, and twelve sessions at Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Though, students must be enrolled in a 12-session package in order to guarantee eligibility to participate in the culminating performance. In preparation for the gig, students in private instrument lessons and voice lessons will work one-on-one with our instructors then alongside other students in an ensemble led by individual instructors or ensemble teachers. 6 years to 100, there is no upper age limit for the private instrument and voice lessons.

  • The BAM Method

  • Each offered course is founded in the BAM Method, that music excellence is based upon knowledge of music theory (note reading, melodic and harmonic analysis, and ability to perform written music).   The BAM Method consists of two parts, 1) individual or group class, and 2) ensemble rehearsal and performance.  It is important to not only work on instrument technique, but also ensemble and performance skills that can only be learned through ensemble rehearsal and performance.  Brown Academy of Music believes in giving venues for the students and teachers.  At the end of every “semester” the students will be given an opportunity to perform at a public performance venue.

Anna Fegi-Brown, the renowned Cebuana singer, returned to Cebu after performing around the world for the last decade to create the Voice program at her school: BAM! The curriculum written by Anna and BAM’s voice specialists combine the ideals of the BAM Method and Anna’s own, brilliant techniques. In these one-hour lessons, students are taught in small group format with a maximum of only 4 students (same gender and similar age and experience level). Group learning is beneficial for ear training, harmonization, and learning from others’ mistakes. There’s no question that this voice program is the most comprehensive. The question is would you like to be the next vocal superstar?

  • Dance
  • Dance

Brown Academy of Music offers dance classes for kids, beginner to intermediate students, as well as an advanced/intensive program. The Dance has a particular contribution to make every production number come alive with expression through different dance movements.  It also provides an alternative language integrated with physical, emotional, and intellectual development and expression.  We believe that no performance will ever be complete without a whole production of great singers, musicians, and dancers.  These three elements combine to give a complete, artistic performance on stage.
